Skyrim 3.1 & 3.2 - Whiterun and Black Falls Barrow

It's been a long time I did not post anything on my blog. Sorry about it, and the reason of this is I was overwhelmingly attracted by this interesting and challenging game. Anyways, let me start the most particular chapter that I have ever been written so far.

As I wrote in last blog, I considered this game just started at the time that I finally discovered Whiterun, which was perfectly proofed later. Immediately after I entered this town, I was shocked by the scenes of splendid Gothic or Middle Ages buildings - so sorry for not really clear about the types of the varieties of the architecture, a limpid bluish river flowing under the bridge, several residents in carefully designed suits or costumes, etc. Here, I made a foolish mistake: since my quest was to visit the top of that hill and to meet with a kinda king or emperor character whose name, Jarl, was introduced later, I rushed into a house that was just a little bit higher than others, where the only things I found were items sticked with "steal" sign and nobody was there, or the emperor I was seeking for.

Alright, forget that stupid mistake. Out of that stupid house, I saw some people gathering together; it was like a market, where I could buy or steal meat, culinary stuff, silver decorations, etc. Honestly, it is somewhat similar to the modern markets, while the only difference are the sellers that are selling goods and merchants; those sellers in Skyrim are dressed with poorer and kind of ugly clothes that seemed like produced during Middle Ages. One more funny thing is that when I entered this gorgeous town and firstly saw those town civilians, I was wondering whether I was gonna be attacked or not, because most of them looked rude and tough. After this market, there was a giant tree located in a kind of garden when I stepped up a number of stairs. Beside this tree, a monk or Buddhist singing sort of poems or songs, caught my attention. He sang: "And deserve our praise you do, for we are one! Ere your ascended and the Eight became Nine, you walked among us, great lalos, not as god, but as man!" However, I had no idea what he was singing about.

Finally, I discovered the Dragonsearch, my goal. I need to spend a number of words on this name here. As I mentioned in my first several blog, this game is considered to contain many stories and chapters about the dragon. This name, Dragonsearch, does it literally mean a place that I could search information about the dragon? Does it have any internal connection with The Book of The Dragonborn I mentioned before? Honestly, I am unsure about all of these Qs, but one thing I am sure is that it still cost much time to completely explore and understand this game.

Permitted to talk to Jarl, I explained the reason why I was there and asked him for help. Then Jarl invited me to chat with Jarl's court wizard, Farengar, from whom I received far more information about the dragons and the magic, and Farengar said he needed me to do a favor for him: to search an ancient stone tablet in a dangerous ruin, Black Falls Barrow. Apart from the quest, this mage Farengar really intrigued me, because he had searched much information about the dragons, as he said: "where had they gone all those years ago? where were they coming from?" The answers of these questions are also what I really want to learn. Besides, this quest was to find a stone tablet called Dragonstone, that was said to contain a map of dragon burial sites, which must be challenging and interesting.

Just before I began my journey to that destination, one phenomenon that tricked me is that the background music completely varied when I got out of the town, from peaceful, kind, and quiet to more gloomy, tense and noisy. Also, I reminded me I had to be careful because I could randomly get attacked by monsters or other aggressive characters. However, I was still assaulted by several wild animals, like few wolves. Under the foot of the mount, there was a fork junction. Firstly, I went rightward but I realized that was a big mistake later, for that there were few horrific giants wandering there, and I thought they would attack me when they saw me, such a LITTLE prey. Without any doubt, I died this time, so I chose to turn left at the second time. For this time, it was a relatively peaceful route, in spite of several weak wolves. Running for about 2 minutes after that junction, a huge, grandiose and magnificent relic, or called a temple, like just lifted from the ground. It looked like even higher than the top of the mount, and really like a dragon lying on the roof of this mount, which I thought should be the reason why the Dragonstone was hidden in this temple. After beating a few of guards or protectors, I searched them and finally got there, standing in front of that ancient temple.

From now on, I did not know what would be there waiting for me. I did know that it would be much more interesting and I would try my best to take it over. That is what the Lord means indeed.
